German Shepherd Dogs by Grunfeld
Having owned German Shepherd Dogs since 1977, becoming increasingly disappointed in the deteriorating quality of the German shepherd breed, particularly structure and temperament, in 1991, the dream of becoming a breeder came to fruition with the birth of Grunfelds "A" litter.
The foundation bitch was a Vax von der Wienerau SchH3 daughter. Her first litter (she produced three in her lifetime) was born on March 31st 1991. I kept two males from that litter; Achen (Alert) achieved his Canadian Championship (CH) with a Best in Show (BIS)and his C.D. With multiple High In Trials (HIT) . He also received his Canadian R.O.M. His brother Arcko, achieved his O.T. C. H. With multiple High In Trials (HIT) as well. Both passed the Temperament Test. Arcko passed away at 13 years of age, The mother of the litter received her T.T. And C.D. with three High In Class (HIC)awards. Kaylee passed over the Rainbow Bridge at the ripe old age of 15.
Bringing in the best of German/European bloodlines to breed into the Grunfeld line, has produced the desired structure and character. Usually you can pick a Grunfeld dog out of a crowd because of their type, temperament and character. Litters are home raised in the kitchen, which in most homes tends to be the center of activity.
Clients are offered a lifetime guarantee against genetic issues.Grunfeld encourages new owners to keep in touch and also offers 24/7/ support to our German shepherd puppies and German shepherd dogs for the rest of their lives. The Grunfeld contract states that all puppies and older dogs must be returned for re-homing should that become necessary.
